Aloe is a wonderful plant that’s easy to purchase in your local grocery store. You can often find fresh aloe leaves in the produce section, and aloe gels in the skincare section. Many health food stores also offer varieties of aloe juice and aloe supplements which contain sterols. I’ve tried drinking aloe, it tastes a little bit like dry white wine, it’s alleged to help with digestion and constipation but it didn’t help me with that last time I quit. For the most part I stick with the fresh aloe leaves which I store in the fridge and slice off a piece every day or two and rub the fresh aloe gel on to cleanse skin on my face. I also use the packaged gel from time to time as an alternative to hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture after applying my vitamin c serum or as a neutralizer after I do my derma rolling. It can be drying but contains vitamins c and e and other nutrients and is wonderful for your skin.
